HOW can Poole Park possibly be 'improved' by the destruction of trees?
More than twenty mature trees had been felled last time I counted.
This is supposedly to improve the road through the park and make more space for car parking.
The park at the moment, with the road closed so that these 'improvements' can be made, is as it should be.
It is quiet, peaceful, a place where children can run, play or ride their bikes with no danger of being knocked down by a passing car, free from the noise and pollution caused by cars.

The park is an oasis of green and calm where people can walk or ride their bikes and watch the birds whose numbers seem to have increased as they are also free to wander where they will with no danger from traffic.
There are plenty of places to park near to the park such as Seldown Bridge, the Dolphin Centre and Baiter – there is no need to take up space in the park which should be green space by making car parks
The only road through the park should be a cycle track. The park should provide a 'breath of fresh air' for local people and visitors.
