CORONAVIRUS testing is taking place at three sites across Dorset, with spaces available over the next few days.
Public Health Dorset confirmed there was testing in Creekmoor, Weymouth and Bridport.
As previously reported, the drive through test facility at Creekmoor park and ride in Poole was made operational over the weekend.
At the time of writing, there were still over 1,000 slots available for the coming five days.
The Bridport site, located at West Bay Car Park in West Bay Road, started operating towards the end of April.
They had 332 slots available for the next five days.
Although testing is taking place at the Weymouth site, located at Mount Pleasant park and ride, they had no slots available for the next five days.
On April 30, a testing site at Blandford was showing up when booking an appointment on the Department of Health and Social Care’s website.
However, Public Health Dorset confirmed this was a mistake and anybody who booked a slot at Blandford would be redirected to one of the other sites.
Test slots can be booked online through a government portal.
These are currently available to:
• All essential workers including NHS and social care workers with symptoms
• Anyone over 65 with symptoms
• Anyone with symptoms whose work cannot be done from home (for example, construction workers, shop workers, emergency plumbers and delivery drivers)
The government said they will also test anyone who has symptoms of coronavirus that lives with those identified above.
