A SECTION of the A31 in Dorset was closed on Sunday afternoon following a crash.
Police, ambulance and fire service attended at the scene of the collision at 2.45pm, which took place between Roundhouse roundabout for the A350 and Lambs Green roundabout for the B3078.
Highways England reported that the eastbound carriageway was closed due to the incident involving a single car.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said that minor injuries were sustained. The road reopened shortly after 5pm.
There were reports of localised traffic delays as a result of the road closure.
Highways England provided details of a diversion route while police arranged vehicle recovery.
"Road users are advised to follow the diversion route marked with a hollow circle symbol on the road signs," a Highways England spokesperson said.
"At the Roundhouse roundabout take the third exit onto the A350 (south). At the roundabout with the A35 take the first exit, head east to Holes Bay (north) roundabout then take the third exit onto the A350. At the next roundabout take the A349 (north). Follow the A349 north to the roundabout with the A31 for Merley."
