THOUSANDS of pounds of free advertising for the business community is being made available in a dynamic new partnership between the Daily Echo, the Bournemouth Town Centre BID, Poole BID and BCP Council.

The campaign is called ‘Stay Local, Spend Local’ and aims to promote, support and revitalise the economy in the conurbation in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.

It launches today.

Advertising opportunities delivered by the Daily Echo and LOCALiQ will include 10 day print packages in Classified and permanent inclusion in an online directory which plays a key role in helping to get your business seen and found online.

In addition, we will be awarding a large number of free business profiles in print and targeted digital campaigns online at bournemouthecho.co.uk all delivered with trusted editorial backing.

Businesses need to make their application by June 30th 2020 but they can place their advertising at any time in June, July and August.

Chief Operating Officer of Bournemouth Town Centre BID, Paul Kinvig said: “This initiative is a really important step on the road to the resetting and recovery of the local economy and I believe it will make a big difference.

“It’s a joint effort and as with so many things , that has to be the way forward now.”

Steve Reilly of Poole BID added: “This gives all businesses in The Poole BID area the opportunity to have 10 days free advertising with The Echo, this combined with editorial coverage will help raise the profile of Poole as the re-start for many businesses begins.

"The campaign is a key part of Poole BID’s recovery plan which is fully focused on marketing Poole Town Centre and Quay as the place to shop, eat and drink as we all adjust.”

BCP Cabinet member for Economic Development and Regeneration, Cllr Mark Howell said: “I am delighted at this collaborative effort. It will be important in getting our town centres and high streets back up and running.

"Working together in a common cause has to be the way forward.”
