LOCAL personal trainer Sean Burgess will be returning to the gym after months of providing an online and socially distanced service.
Sean will be returning to the gym on Monday, July 27 to offer safe personal training sessions in his natural habitat.
Usually based at The Junction in Broadstone or the YMCA gym in Bournemouth, Sean had to adapt his working life during the lockdown following the temporary closure of leisure centres and gyms.
Lockdown provided Sean with the perfect opportunity to branch out into new territory: the world of online fitness.
Despite the difficulties faced during these unprecedented times, Sean has a very positive outlook on the current and future situation.
He said: "Luckily, I've had enough work to keep going and have been able to work from home. The powers of technology have kept my classes and personal training going and has added an extra dimension to the business."

To prepare for his reopening, both gyms have been equipped with sanitiser, free disposable gloves for Sean's clients and temperature checks will be taken.
All equipment will be thoroughly wiped down after each use.
Sean is optimistic about reopening and has welcomed the challenge with open arms.
He said: "I'm very confident going forward. I've done enough to reassure people that the gyms are safe. However, it will be difficult going forward as people have different mindsets and no one knows what the future holds. As much as you want to reassure people, you can't be too affirmative as you just don't know what is going to happen."
Sean will stick to his minimalistic workout style (inspired by his online videos) when he returns to the gym, encouraging the use of one or two pieces of equipment rather than 10 to reduce the risk of infection.
He added: "I am fully prepared for reopening and I love what I do but this time has also been really beneficial for me. I enjoy the online side of training as it is very efficient, but I will be more gym-based."
