RESIDENTS are demanding action after a car crashed into barriers surrounding an electric car charging point for the third time.
Police were called to Ashley Road in Poole just after 10.30pm on Tuesday following a report of a single vehicle collision.
The local authority was asked to attend due to debris on the road.
A 74-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and is currently assisting officers with their enquiries.
Resident Micky Corby-Grace said she was disturbed by a loud bang and fears there will be another, potentially more serious, collision at the site.
She told the Daily Echo: "This charging point is never used yet there have been three crashes already.
"It is frightening to hear such a loud bang and I'm worried that next time the charging point could be hit and someone could be seriously hurt.
"The police were great and were here within seconds but I hope the council will now consider moving the charging point."
BCP Council has been asked for a comment.
