FIRE crews tackled a blaze that ripped through a garage in Ferndown before spreading across to a neighbouring bungalow and second garage.
Having spent Saturday evening assisting with the response to the major flat fire in Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth, the team at Ferndown fire station were called to the incident in the East Dorset town at 10.30pm while on their way back to base.
The fire involved a garage and it had developed to include an adjoining bungalow and another garage.
The crew returned to the station shortly after midnight but were called back out again at 5am on Sunday, eventually heading away from the scene at 9am.
Images posted on social media by the fire crews show the severe extent of the damge caused by the incident.
