FIREFIGHTERS rushed to a heath fire in Poole on Monday night.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service sent fire crews to the blaze at Alder Hills nature reserve after it was reported at 6.37pm.
Six emergency calls were made in relation to the fire by members of the public.
It involved an area of heath measuring eight metres by eight metres.
Three fire engines attended along with a Land Rover.
Crews from Redhill Park, Springbourne and Poole attended.
The fire was extinguished using one hose reel and one main line.
The incident was dealt with by 7.19pm.
Firefighters from Dorset were also involved in tackling a heath fire in Ringwood last night.
