POLICE were called to an address in Bournemouth after “racially aggravated” graffiti was found written on a wall backing onto Bournemouth Upper Gardens.
The incident is reported to have taken place between 7pm on Tuesday, August 11, and 8am on Wednesday, August 12, in Branksome Wood Road.
Jason Deavin, who lives in the property which was subjected to the graffiti, said: “This stuff isn’t acceptable at any level.
“If I was Polish it would clearly be a very different story. It’s sad if any Polish people had to see it.
“As it’s our back gate to the park, nobody saw anything nor is there any CCTV so police won’t look further.”
The graffiti has since been removed but enquiries are ongoing into the report.
A police spokesman said: “Dorset Police received a report at 5.46pm on Wednesday, August 12, of racially aggravated graffiti on a pillar near to Branksome Wood Road in Bournemouth.
“It is reported to have occurred sometime between 7pm on Tuesday 11 August and 8am on Wednesday 12 August 2020.
“Enquiries are ongoing into the report. No arrests have been made.”
