NO SPECIFIC timeframes have been formed by BCP Council over when its civic offices in Christchurch and Poole could be sold.
The unitary authority announced plans earlier this year to redevelop and overhaul Bournemouth Town Hall to serve at the BCP Civic Centre.
These plans will make the Civic Offices in Bridge Street, Christchurch, and the Civic Centre, Poole, the former bases of Christchurch Borough Council and Borough of Poole, respectively, both surplus to requirements.
This has led to speculation over when both sites will be decommissioned and, given their prime locations, sold off for redevelopment.
When asked about selling off the Poole site by the Daily Echo, a BCP Council spokesperson said: “While our longer term plan is to decommission our Poole and Christchurch Civic centres in line with the creation of the BCP Civic Centre in Bournemouth, no decision has been made on the precise timings of any disposals or potential uses yet.”
