A FURTHER eight people have tested positive for coronavirus in Dorset.
The figures, released by the government, show that in the 24 hours leading up to 4pm on Wednesday, six people tested positive in the BCP Council area.
It meant since the start of the pandemic, 909 people have tested positive.
The rate per 100,000 people in the BCP Council area now stands at 229.9.
Two people tested positive in the Dorset Council area, taking the total to 664.
The rate for Dorset now stands at 175.4.
Elsewhere, in the New Forest, there were no positive cases for Covid-19.
The total since the start of the pandemic for the New Forest remained at 501 with a rate per 100,000 of 278.2.
