TWO more primary schools in Bournemouth have reported confirmed cases of coronavirus.
Queen’s Park Academy in East Way and Pokesdown Community Primary in Livingstone Road have had members of their respective school communities test positive for Covid-19.
With regards to Queen's Park Academy, Sam Crowe, director of Public Health for Dorset and Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Councils, said: "We are aware of confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Queen’s Park Academy.
"The school are working closely with Public Health Dorset, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council and Public Health England South West to ensure that all necessary measures are being met.
“All close contacts of the confirmed cases have been notified and advised to self-isolate for 14-days. Contacts of the confirmed cases should get tested if they go on to develop symptoms. Even if people test negative, they must still self-isolate for 14-days.”
Queen's Park Academy said it was unable to confirm the number of cases and whether they involved members of staff or pupils as this was confidential information.

On the situation at Pokesdown Community Primary, Public Health Dorset provided the same response as it did for Queen's Park Academy, except stating that there had been a confirmed case rather than multiple cases.
