PARKSTONE Grammar School for Girls has moved to remote learning following an increase of coronavirus cases.
Parents from the school were sent an email confirming the change, which will take place from tomorrow.
The email said: “As you will be aware from my previous communications to you, over the past few weeks we have seen some confirmed positive cases of Covid-19 in the Parkstone Grammar School community.
“We have been working closely with Public Health Dorset and BCP Council, and I would like to reassure you that all necessary measures have been taken and all close contacts of these cases have identified and told to self-isolate at home for 14 days.
“Due to a high number of close contacts associated with some of these cases, we now have a significant proportion of some year groups and a number of staff self-isolating at home.
“Following discussions with BCP Council and Public Health Dorset, we have taken the decision to move temporarily to remote online learning.”
The email confirmed this will start tomorrow and last until half term.
Parkstone Grammar School has been approached for a comment.
