AN INDEPENDENT investigation will not take place into the actions of killer former police officer Timothy Brehmer.
Brehmer, 41, of Hordle, New Forest, killed his lover Claire Parry at the Horns Inn pub car park in West Parley on May 9.
Last month, the dismissed Dorset police constable was acquitted of murder but jailed for ten years and six months for manslaughter.

Upon Brehmer's arrest in May, Dorset Police confirmed, due to his occupation, the force had referred the matter to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
However, a spokesman for the IOPC told the Daily Echo yesterday: "We did receive a referral from Dorset Police following the death of Claire Parry and as the incident occurred while the officer was off duty, and there was a murder investigation under way, we decided it was suitable for a local investigation by the force."
