THE number of new Covid-19 cases recorded in the BCP Council area now stands at 135, according to the latest government update.
The Department of Health and Social Care website shows 180 new cases were recorded across Dorset in 24 hours up to 6.18pm on Tuesday.
In the BCP area, 135 new cases were reported, bringing the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic to 5,017.
Meanwhile, in the Dorset Council area 45 cases have been reported in the same period.
Since March 2,523 cases have been confirmed.
The number of cases in the BCP area over the latest rolling seven-day period is 823, with a rate of 208.2. In Dorset 375 cases have been confirmed in the last past seven days. The case rate is 99.1.
In the New Forest there were 31 new cases. The total in the district since the pandemic started is 1,399. A total of 176 cases have been seen in the past seven days and the case rate is 97.7.
