MORE than 150 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Dorset over the last 24 hours, latest figures show.
Data released by the government shows 157 people tested positive in the county in the 24 hours leading up to 4pm on November 11.
103 of those cases came in the BCP Council area, taking the council area’s total since the start of the pandemic to 5,120.
In the seven days leading up to November 6, 848 people tested positive in BCP, giving a rolling infection rate of 214.5 per 100,000 people.
In the Dorset Council area, 54 people tested positive, taking the total to 2,577.
365 cases were confirmed in the seven days leading up to November 6, giving a rate of 96.4 per 100,000.
Elsewhere, 30 people tested positive in the New Forest over the last 24 hours, taking the total to 1,429.
170 cases were confirmed in the week leading up to November 6, a rate of 94.4 per 100,000.
