FIVE coronavirus ‘hotspots’ have been identified in the BCP area, according to an interactive map.
Central Bournemouth, Springbourne and Queen’s Park, Winton, Moordown and Bearwood all have more than 400 cases per 100,000 people.
The map, which appears on the government website, uses the latest data from Public Health England.
Winton recorded 62 cases in the seven days to November 14 with a rolling rate per 100,000 people of 649.2.
It is the second week running that Winton has shown as a ‘hotspot’ on the map.
Central Bournemouth has the second highest number of cases in the area with 58 in total and a rolling rate of 446.5.
Springbourne and Queen’s Park has 39 cases with a rate of 422.5 and Moordown has 37 cases with a rate of 457.0.
Bearwood has the highest rate of each of the five areas at 655.1 with 36 cases.
Areas in Bournemouth with rates between 201 and 400:
- Talbot and Branksome Woods – 23 cases, rate 330.6
- East Cliff - 37 cases, rate 287.6
- Iford – 21 cases, rate 278.4
- Westcliff - 22 cases, rate 277.5
- Littledown – 18 cases, rate 275.7
- Kinson East – 17 cases, rate 268.9
- East Howe and Ensbury Park – 22 cases, rate 261.5
- Westbourne – 15 cases, rate 255.1
- Throop & Muscliffe – 24 cases, rate 262.7
In Poole, Hamworthy West has 24 cases and a rate of 335.8, Poole Town has 32 cases and a rate of 268.4, Oakdale West has 22 cases and a rate of 264.2, Parkstone has 22 cases and a rate of 229.6 and Penn Hill has 23 cases and a rate of 229.0.
Elsewhere, Christchurch Town has just four cases and a rate of 41.3 and Swanage has 11 cases and a rate of 112.1
