THE number of coronavirus cases recorded in the BCP Council area since the start of the pandemic hit 6,900, as 41 cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
Data released by the government shows 41 people tested positive in BCP in the 24 hours leading up to 4pm on November 24.
In the seven days leading up to November 19, 691 positive cases were recorded, giving a rolling infection rate of 174.8 per 100,000 people.
In the Dorset Council area, 17 cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 3,068 since the start of the pandemic.
324 cases were confirmed in the seven days leading up to November 19, a rolling infection rate of 85.6 per 100,000 people.
Yesterday, 103 cases were confirmed in Dorset.
Elsewhere, eight cases were recorded in the New Forest, taking the total to 1,771.
In the week before November 19, 184 cases were confirmed, giving a rate of 102.2 per 100,000.
