THE rolling infection rate of coronavirus in the BCP Council area has dropped below 100 per 100,000 people, latest data shows.
In the 24 hours leading up to 4pm today, 47 people tested positive for coronavirus, taking the total since the start of the pandemic to 7,224.
During the week leading up to November 26, 379 cases were recorded, giving a rolling infection rate of 95.9 per 100,000 people.
Fourteen people tested positive in the Dorset Council area, taking the total to 3,226.
In the seven days leading up to November 26, 165 people tested positive, giving a rate of 43.6 per 100,000.
Yesterday, 58 cases were confirmed in Dorset.
Elsewhere, 26 people tested positive in the New Forest, taking the total to 1,849 since the start of the pandemic.
In the week leading up to November 26, 77 people tested positive, a rolling rate of 42.8 per 100,000.
