ANOTHER patient has died with the coronavirus in a Dorset hospital.
University Hospitals Dorset recorded the death on Tuesday, December 8.
This means that since the start of the pandemic, a total of 288 hospital patients have died in Dorset after testing positive for Covid-19.
Poole Hospital has confirmed 107 deaths, Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals 68 and University Hospitals Dorset 59.
Dorset County Hospital and Dorset University Hospital have recorded 26 and 28 deaths respectively.
Yesterday, three more deaths were reported in Dorset.
In an update released on Wednesday, NHS officials said a further 344 people who tested positive for Covid-19 have died in hospitals in England, bringing the total to 43,248.
The patients were aged between 16 and 100 years old.
All except 11, aged 51 to 96 years old, had known underlying health conditions.
The date of death ranges from October 18 to December, 8, 2020, with the majority occurring on or after December 4.
