A FURTHER 78 coronavirus cases have been recorded across Dorset, according to the latest government update.
The Department of Health and Social Care website showed that there were 56 new cases reported in the BCP Council area in the 24 hours up to 5.30pm on December 12.
In the BCP area there have now been 7,662 recorded Covid-19 cases since the start of the pandemic. A total of 253 cases were recorded across the conurbation in the latest rolling seven-day figures, with a case rate per 100,000 perople of 64.
Meanwhile, in the Dorset Council area 22 cases were reported in the latest 24 period.
Since March, 3,474 cases have been confirmed in the Dorset Council area. The seven-day rolling case figure stands at 157, with a rate of 41.5.
Yesterday, 55 new cases were recorded across Dorset.
Meanwhile, in the New Forest there were 24 new cases recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the areas total up to 2,027. A total of 129 cases have been seen in the latest seven-day rolling period for the district, delivering a case rate of 71.6.
