MORE than 90 new Covid cases have been recorded across Dorset in the last 24-hours, according to the latest government update.
The Department of Health and Social Care website shows that in the BCP area 61 new cases were reported in the 24-hours up to 4.13pm on Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic to 7,826.
Meanwhile, in the Dorset Council area 32 cases were reported in the same period.
Since March 3,565 cases have been confirmed.
This means 93 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the county as a whole.
The number of cases in the BCP area over the latest rolling seven-day period is 276, with a rate of 69.8 per 100,000 of the population. In Dorset 166 cases have been confirmed in the last past seven days. The case rate is 43.9.
In the New Forest there were 21 new cases. The total in the district since the pandemic started is 2,078. A total of 143 cases have been seen in the past seven days and the case rate is 79.4.
