A FURTHER 116 coronavirus cases have been recorded across Dorset, according to the latest government update.
The Department of Health and Social Care website shows there were 83 positive Covid-19 tests reported in the 24 hours up to 5.12pm on Thursday, December 24.
This brought the total number of confirmed cases across the conurbation since the start of the pandemic to 8,605.
Meanwhile, in the Dorset Council area 33 cases have been reported in the same period. Since March 3,972 cases have been confirmed.
The number of cases in the BCP area over the latest rolling seven-day period is 614, with a rate of 155.3 per 100,000 people.
In Dorset 324 cases have been confirmed in this period, with a case rate is 85.6.
In the New Forest there were 24 new cases. The total in the district since the pandemic started is 2,313.
A total of 186 cases have been seen in the latest seven-day period and the case rate is 103.3.
