NEARLY 200 cases of coronavirus have been recorded across Dorset in the last 24 hours, latest figures show.
Data released by the government shows 191 people tested positive for coronavirus in the 24 hours leading up to 4pm on Sunday.
In the BCP Council area, 127 people tested positive, meaning a total of 9,126 people have had coronavirus since the start of the pandemic.
In the seven days leading up to December 23, the latest rolling seven-day period, 728 cases were confirmed in BCP, giving a rolling infection rate of 184.1 per 100,000 people.
The Dorset Council area recorded 64 cases, taking the total to 4,221.
The rolling rate stood at 103.2 per 100,000 people, with 392 cases confirmed.
Yesterday, 418 cases were confirmed across Dorset.
Elsewhere, 37 cases were confirmed in the New Forest, meaning 2,479 people have tested positive in the New Forest in total.
The rolling rate was 132.7 per 100,000 with 239 cases confirmed.
