A SENIOR BCP councillor has urged people to follow the Tier 4 guidelines over the holiday weekend.
Cllr Nicola Greene, Portfolio Holder for COVID-19 Resilience and Public Health, said:"It is vital that everyone follows the Tier 4 rules. The number of positive cases of COVID-19 across the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area has risen significantly and we all need to play our part in driving infections down locally.
"We must all now stay at home as much as possible, and do our bit to turn the tide on the spread of the virus and reduce the worrying pressure on our health services.
"Remember that approximately one in three people who have coronavirus have no symptoms and could be spreading it without realising. If you do go out for exercise, stay local, and always make sure you are two metres apart from anyone not in your household or support bubble. And if somewhere looks too busy, don't risk it."
