A TEENAGE drug driver who travelled dangerously on roads in Poole has been disqualified for 12 months.
Mitchell Burt, of Crow Arch Lane, Ringwood, was caught by officers behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Golf on March 14, 2020.
He provided a specimen of blood to police which showed he had 200 micrograms of benzoylecgonine, the main metabolite of cocaine, per litre of blood. The legal limit is 50 micrograms per litre of blood.
Burt, aged 19, admitted charges of drug driving and driving dangerously in Longfleet Road, High Street North and Wimborne Road.
Appearing before district judge Stephen Nicholls at Poole Magistrates' Court on Thursday, January 14, the defendant was issued with a community order to complete 15 days of rehabilitation activity requirement with the probation service.
He was also fined £100 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £95 surcharge.
In addition to the driving ban, Burt must complete an extended test following this period should he wish to regain a licence.
