Snow showers are expected in Dorset tomorrow as the Met Office updated its weather warning for the county.
A yellow 'be prepared' warning for snow and ice is in force from 1am and lasting all through Sunday until the early evening.
The warning is for the south west region and covers all of Dorset.
The forecaster said a band of rain and snow followed by snow showers will bring some transport disruption from Sunday morning.
It said people should expect:
- Icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
- Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
- Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services with some higher level routes perhaps becoming blocked for a time.
Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing in the countryside tonight and will struggle to get above 1 degree tomorrow. Temperatures will be slightly higher at the coast.
The warning area was reduced by the Met Office on Saturday morning due to different timings of precipitation across southern England with the start time brought forward.
