A MAN who burgled teddy bear skins from a Bournemouth toy store has been ordered to carry out unpaid work.
Ross Martin Burns, aged 31 and of West Hill Road, entered Build-A-Bear Workshop in Commercial Road as a trespasser on November 5, 2020.
A hearing at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, January 20, heard that Burns stole a till drawer, teddy bear skins and bags of an unknown value.
The defendant pleaded guilty to a single charge of burglary.
District judge Stephen Nicholls ordered him to pay £625 compensation along with a 16-month community order to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work.
The popular Build-A-Bear chain allows youngsters to make their own toys from a selection of different ‘skins’, including popular characters from TV shows and films.
