A CHRISTCHURCH lady is flying the flag of the town as she hopes to become the winner of Miss Elegance.
Nino Lavrelashvili, 34, will represent Christchurch in March, with the winner then going to Florida to represent the UK.
“At the age of 23 my private life led to me to settle in the UK,” she said.
“Despite having a double nationality, both British and Georgian, I must admit that it is here where I discovered that the dreams could come true.
“I have been always passionate about being a model, but it did not seem realistic due to my busy life, also because I take care of my beloved son Lucas.
“A few months ago, I saw the Miss Elegance of The World competition. Its team is supporting Cancer Research.
“My life ambition was reignited, and I had no hesitation to enter this beauty competition, combining my dream to model with support for a cause dear to my heart.”
Nino, of Station Road, will wear four outfits throughout the virtual competition, including one with colours that will represent Bournemouth.
Eight judges will determine the winner, and this person will hear about the verdict after the live show.
She added: “I almost gave up for my dream in 2014. It was a horrible year that shook me and my family. My mum was diagnosed with Leukaemia and despite her brave fight she sadly passed away in 2017. Since then, I tried to support the fight against this terrifying disease.
“This competition has about 60 girls, I wish all of them luck, but we will see what happens.”
