BOURNEMOUTH residents have started to receive their new, larger garden waste bins.
But those who subscribe to the scheme have been reminded it could be six weeks before all the bins are swapped.
Councillor Mark Anderson, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Environment, Cleansing and Waste said: "We’re now into the second week of our bin swap programme for Bournemouth residents, swapping their garden waste bins for larger 240 litre bins in line with Christchurch and Poole, and it’s going very well.
"We’d like to remind Bournemouth garden waste customers that their bins will be swapped over on one of their usual collection days over the next six weeks, so if it’s not swapped on the first collection, please bring the bins in from the kerbside and put them out again by 5am on your next collection dates. You can check your collection days on our website."
Residents should place their 2021 sticker on their new bin, not their old one and old bins will continue to be emptied until new ones arrive
