TWO people arrested after a 12-year-old boy was allegedly kidnapped from a Poole park have been released without charge.
The pair, a 30-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy, both from Poole, were arrested on suspicion of kidnap following an incident at Branksome Recreation Ground in October last year.
It was reported that a 12-year-old boy was kidnapped and bundled into the back of a van by three men.
At the time police said the youngster was playing with friends when he was chased, tackled to the ground and driven to a nearby address – where it was reported he was forced to apologise for criminal damage believed to have been caused the previous day.
The boy was not injured during the incident.
Now detectives have confirmed the two suspects have been released from the investigation without charge.
At the time a 32-year-old man, also from Poole, voluntarily attended for police interview.
He has also been released without charge.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "Detectives are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident."
