A MAN who breached coronavirus regulations during the November lockdown has been jailed after failing to attend court having been released on bail
Christopher Albey Aymer, aged 26 and of no fixed abode, was charged with a breach of the Covid restrictions having been outside the place he was living without a reasonable excuse.
This related to his actions on November 13, 2020, eight days after lockdown began.
He appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on January 26 in relation to this offence along with other matters.
Aymer was also charged with two counts of failing to comply with the supervision requirements imposed following release from imprisonment on October 1 and December 17, 2020, and failing to surrender to custody at court on January 20 having been released on bail in criminal proceedings on November 13, 2020.
The defendant admitted all of the offences.
The bench committed him to prison for 28 days for failing to surrender to custody and ordered to pay a £128 surcharge.
He was fined £20 for the Covid regulation offence and given 14-day concurrent prison sentences for the supervision requirement breaches.
