MANY events across Dorset and the New Forest have been cancelled this year in light of the pandemic, but some still hope to go ahead.
Organisers are considering what the future may hold and whether it is feasible and safe to hold events.
The Bournemouth Air Festival is scheduled to take place from September 2 to 5, providing coronavirus restrictions have been lifted.
Cllr Mohan Iyengar, Portfolio Holder for Tourism, Leisure and Culture said: "As the UK’s premier resort, early consideration is being given to what this year across the conurbation might look like. The variety of events and activities that are held, especially during the summer and early autumn, have previously attracted many hundreds of thousands of people to our area.
"We will be working with event organisers over the coming months to support and encourage a range of events, festivals and cultural activities taking into account any future Covid-19 measures, to offer an exciting range of activities for our visitors, residents and local communities."
Further afield, the Wimborne Folk Festival is set to go ahead in June, from June 11 to 13.
However, organisers have said that the "situation is very uncertain and is being kept under review."
Popular music video Camp Bestival is scheduled to take place from July 29 to August 1.
The festival's organisers said: "Rest assured we’re continuing to work behind the scenes to get ready for Camp Bestival this summer and hope to have more news for you soon. In the meantime, stay safe."
The organisers of Dogstival, another event which takes place in June, are also hoping the event can go ahead, if possible.
A spokesperson for the festival said: "The best we can say at the moment is yes, we are planning to go ahead this year, if we can. The event is on June 5 and 6 so if that is not possible, then we may try and move the event to later in the summer.
"We went ahead with Dogstival and Lymington Seafood Festival last year despite the pandemic but with various additional safety measures in place and with reduced attendance numbers.
"I can’t guarantee anything at this stage, but we won’t be cancelling."
The Lymington Seafood Festival is set to occur on July 16, 17 and 18.
