RENEWED traffic regulations have been put in place to stop cars parking on two roads three hours before and after AFC Bournemouth matches.
BCP Council, in a public notice, has confirmed waiting, loading and unloading will be prohibited on Thistlebarrow Road and King’s Park Drive.
The notice said: “The effect of the order will be to prohibit waiting and loading/unloading for a period of three hours before and three hours after match kick-off on Thistlebarrow Road – north-eastern side from its western junction with Littledown Avenue in a south-easterly direction to the boundary of the football stadium.
“King’s Park Drive – both sides from its junction with King’s Park Roundabout to a point 80m southeast of the extended south-eastern building line of the King’s Park Bowling Green Clubhouse.”
Nine dates have been confirmed for when the restrictions apply, including three evening games.
They will be in place on Wednesday, February 17, when Cherries host Rotherham United at 7.45pm in the Championship.
A week later, the Dorset club host Cardiff City at 7.45pm and restrictions will be in place then as well.
Cherries also have matches on Saturday, February 27, against Watford, and Saturday March 13, against Barnsley, both starting at 3pm.
Restrictions also apply on Tuesday, March 16, when Cherries host Swansea City at 7.45pm.
Waiting, loading and unloading will also be prohibited on Saturday, April 10, when Cherries play their Championship match against Coventry City at Vitality Stadium at 3pm.
The same applies two weeks later, on Saturday, April 24, as Cherries host promotion rivals Brentford at 3pm.
And finally, restrictions will be in place on Saturday, May 8, when Cherries end their league season with a match against Stoke City at Vitality Stadium, kicking off at 3pm.
The notice added: “Further dates and times may apply if fixtures are amended or additional fixtures are programmed.
“These measures are required to facilitate the passage of traffic. AFC Bournemouth will undertake the necessary arrangements.”
