MEMBERS of the public have been asked to avoid an area of Swanage Beach due to an 'active landslide'.
Swanage Coastguard team members are currently deployed near Sheps Hollow, close to the landslide.
⚠️ There’s been a substantial landslip at Shep’s Hollow (between groyne 17 and 21), Swanage. The slip is just below the footpath. @HMCoastguard have attended and cordoned off the area. FOR YOUR SAFETY, PLEASE AVOID THE AREA #Swanage

Members of the public are urged to avoid passing the end of the promenade underneath the Pines Hotel.
Additionally, the steps at Sheps Hollow are closed and unsafe to use.
