A FURTHER eight patients have died with coronavirus in Dorset hospitals.
The latest daily update from the NHS reports that seven people with Covid-19 have died at University Hospitals Dorset.
Six of these deaths were recorded on Saturday, February 6, with the other the following day.
One death was also recorded at the Dorset HealthCare trust on Wednesday, February 3.
Since the start of the pandemic, 741 Covid deaths have now been recorded in Dorset hospital settings.
University Hospitals Dorset, which covers Royal Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch hospitals, has recorded 591 fatalities.
Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester has recorded 86 deaths and Dorset HealthCare has recorded 64.
Nationally, the NHS update for Tuesday, February 9, reported that a further 509 patients across England died in hospital with coronavirus.
