A MULTI-STOREY car park in Bournemouth was cordoned off following a report of concrete blocks falling from the roof.
Officers attended the scene at the site in Madiera Road and could see there was damage.
A cordon was put in place and BCP Council was notified.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "At 5.06pm, Dorset Police received a call from a member of the public reporting concrete blocks falling from the roof of a multi-storey car park in Madiera Road.
"Officers attended and noted there was some damage to the front of the car park.
"The local authority were called, cones were put out and it is now in the hands of the local authority.
"The car park was closed off for public safety."
A BCP Council spokesperson said: “On Wednesday, we were made aware of some debris falling within the car park and immediately cordoned off the small area concerned.
"The car park remains open whilst investigations continue.”
