A FORMER Bournemouth resident who had suffered a severe brain bleed and was left fighting for his life in a Thailand hospital has succumbed to his injuries.
Chris James, who has been an expatriate for 27 years after moving out to Thailand with his wife, died on Sunday February 7 after falling and hitting his head in a freak accident on December 22.
A crowdfunding page had been set up to help pay for the high hospital costs for the past seven weeks, which were in excessive of £1,000 a day.
Chris’ daughter Kathryn James posted an update on the crowdfunding page, sdaying: “I would like to start by thanking each and every one of you for the love, support and donations. The response has been overwhelming.
“My dad sadly passed away on Sunday night with his family with him, his wonderful wife by his bedside and all three children on FaceTime. After a long nearly seven weeks of fighting he will now lay peacefully.
“The fundraiser will remain open if anyone would like to continue donating to the hospital costs from the last seven weeks.
“We are all heartbroken rest in peace dad, you are forever in our hearts.”
