DORSET has recorded its lowest daily number of new coronavirus cases in the current national lockdown.
The figures from the Government reported that there were 105 positive test results in the 24 hours up to 4pm on Monday, February 15.
This is lowest daily figure for many weeks. On the first day of the current lockdown, January 5, the county recorded 683 new cases.
The update published on February 15 said there had been 75 further Covid cases in the BCP Council area, taking the total throughout the pandemic to 23,956.
In the seven days leading up to February 10, the latest seven-day rolling period, 724 cases were recorded in BCP, giving an infection rate of 183.1 cases per 100,000 people.

The Dorset Council area recorded 30 new coronavirus cases, taking its total to 10,765.
The seven-day infection rate stood at 111 per 100,000 people, with 420 cases confirmed in a week.
Yesterday, 119 coronavirus cases were recorded in Dorset.
Elsewhere, 20 cases were confirmed in the New Forest, taking the total to 5,700.
The rolling infection rate was 98.3 after 177 cases were confirmed in the seven days up to and including February 10.
