Rock talent of the future raised the roof of the Pavilion in Bournemouth - thanks to a local radio station and Dorset's Training and Enterprise Council.
Young people from across the county played the night of their lives at the Be Your Best 2CR-FM Rock Challenge on February 28, 2001. The annual competition encourages young people to have a great time and be their best - without the help of drink, drugs or crime. And in that year, the Bournemouth event featured more than 700 students.
Responsible for helping young people with training, the Dorset Training and Enterprise Council sponsored the rock challenge.
Participating school teams spent months combining creativity and hard work to put together an original eight-minute production.
