MEMBERS of the public have been asked to avoid the beach at Boscombe as replenishment work continues.
BCP Council has also urged people to keep dogs on leads as contractors continue with the £7.5 million project.
Huge machinery is operating on the beach and a dredger is positioned off Southbourne for the 'top-up' operation.

A spokesman for BCP Council said: "This week our contractors will also be testing their methods for pipe movements underneath Boscombe Pier. Please avoid the area while this work is taking place and ensure you keep dogs on leads."
Sand and other beach material is being pumped ashore in seven areas from Southbourne to Poole.
The beaches will be topped up with a total of 350,000 cubic metres of sand in total
