ONE PERSON has died with a positive result for Covid-19 in Dorset hospitals.
Data released by NHS England on Thursday, February 18, showed that the death was reported by University Hospitals Dorset.
The death occurred on Wednesday, February 17.
Since the start of the pandemic, a total of 797 people have died with the virus in the county’s hospitals.
The total number of deaths at University Hospitals Dorset, which runs Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Hospital, now stands at 627 deaths.

Dorset County Hospital's total stands at 100, while Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation's remains at 70.
Six deaths were recorded yesterday.
A further 309 people, who tested positive for Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 80,424.
Patients were aged between 21 and 101 years old.
All except 11 (aged 42 to 96 years old) had known underlying health conditions.
The South West recorded nine deaths.
