There was double the joy and extra special celebrations as Sophie Brooker gave birth to twin boys Cruz James Brooker and Carter Harvey Brooker on Christmas Eve,weighing 5lb 10 and 4lb 12- a very spcial Christmas gift for sisters Tallulah, 6, and Adalyn, 3.

Sophie said: “I was induced on 23/12/2020, and after a long, fairly traumatic day and night, my twin boys Cruz and Carter arrived at 37+1 weeks both naturally, but rushed to theatre for Carter who’s heart rate kept dropping. I spent a long week in hospital where they learnt to feed, gain weight, and treated for jaundice. I spent Christmas in hospital away from my husband and daughters Tallulah 6 and Adalyn 3, with no visitors allowed and my husband Chris not seeing the twins after a few hours old until they were a week old and home. Covid made me feel so isolated in hospital and then we have come home to more isolation. However our boys are the light in it all and are keeping us going through hard times."

Freddie Anthony Miles was born via emergency c -section two weeks post his due date on December 23 at St Mary’s, Poole to new mum Hannah Miles. He weighed 7lb 13 oz. They spent 6 nights in hospital and missed Christmas at home but are now "happily home and healthy and loving newborn life together as a family!"

Baby Olivier Uz was due around Christmas but mum Natalia Kaczmarek welcomed her firstborn on January 3 after 5 days of contractions at Poole by caesarean, weighing 2955.

Sophie Millward welcomed baby Cody Millward on 29/12/2020 at Poole hospital, weighing 7 pound 15, a little brother for Alfie millward. “I had an elective c- section on 29 December. I was suppose to have the section on new years eve but they moved it 2 days so I got to meet him early. His big brother alfie loves him so much and enjoys helping to feed him and cuddle him.”

Orlando Alexander Hopkins was born weighing 7lb at Poole Hospital on November 9, to Tazmin Hopkins, a little brother to besotted siblings Leonardo and Romeo.

Tazmin said: “My mum and husband both tested positive for COVID 3 days before his arrival so It was a pretty stressful time! However 3 days before his due date my contractions started and I arrived at hospital at 6pm and Orlando came out by 6:51! A Speedy birth but luckily my Mother in law arrived at 6:25 to see his arrival! He was welcomed home by his two older brothers who are besotted with him.

St Mary’s Maternity Unit, weighing 6lbs 13oz, a little sister for Lily-May Barton

Proud dad Robert Parker shared his lovely picture of baby Jenson Parker born on 13/01/21 at Poole Maternity, weighing 8lbs 8oz, a brother for Marley & Ezra Parker

Caitlin Lily Anna Ward and Aran Willett welcomed their first baby Lyla Louise Jeanette Willett on January 9 2021 at Poole. Weighing 5lbs 13oz she made a surprise arrival just under 4weeks early on, “The best and most rewarding day of our lives. She’s already a daddy’s girl and nicknamed Lyla Bear.”

Sophie Catherine Humphries was born 3 weeks early on 08/01/2021 at St Mary’s Maternity at Poole Hospital, weighing 6lb 6oz to mum Louise Humphries. A little sister for Tom (6) and Jessica (3).

Chelcee Parsons welcomed a gorgeous baby boy Archie-Jay Combes on 9/12/2020 at Poole maternity unit, weighing 5lb 1oz.

Missie Woodsford and finace Scott Dodds welcomed their baby Marnie Louise Dodds 4 weeks early on 15/01/21 at St Mary's Maternity Unit, weighing 6lb 7oz, half -sister to Leah (9) and Danielle (12).

Due to her movements midwives decided to induce her early. Progress was slow so Scott was told to go home and sleep but Marnie then decided to make a quick arrival and dad missed the birth of his third daughter.

Giovanna Diana gave birth to her first baby Noah Luca on 26/08/2020 at St. Mary’s Maternity Unit Poole. He weighed 4.040kg.
