A VEHICLE which drove "dangerously" through Bournemouth while being pursued by police crashed into a tree.

Following a report of a stolen vehicle in the Boscombe area, officers, the armed response team, dog unit and NPAS attended the area.

The vehicle was located and a short pursuit commenced where the vehicle drove dangerously through Pokesdown and Southbourne.

Officers lost sight of the vehicle until it collided with a tree in Inverleigh Road.

The occupants of the vehicle ran away, but one person was located hiding in a nearby garden.

They are now assisting officers with their enquiries.
