BERLINS is a nightclub etched firmly - or perhaps even hazily - in the memories of local clubbers and nightlife lovers of the 1990s and early 2000s.
Berlins nightclub also provided the unlikely back-drop where former Tory minister Neil Hamilton and his celebrity wife Christine drank to the axing of their on-screen adversary Angus Deayton in 2002.
The couple were booked for a special night at the club in Hinton Road following Mrs Hamilton's stint on the reality show I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.
Christine Hamilton has roots in the area, having grown up in Ringwood and gone to school in Bournemouth and Christchurch.
The building itself, St Peter's Hall on Hinton Road, was built in 1908 by local architects HE Hawker who also built the Westbourne Arcade and contributed to numerous other structures around Bournemouth.

The venue lay empty for some time after housing various clubs including Berlins, Censo and Crank.
In recent years, and after murmurings of bulldozers moving in, the building was converted into student accommodation.
