A MAN has been found dead at a Bournemouth park.

Emergency services were called to Pelhams Park in Kinson yesterday.

Police cordoned off a section of open ground, where a bench is situated, next to the children's play area.

A Dorset Police spokesman said: "Dorset Police was called at around 8am on Friday, March 12, to a report raising concern for the welfare of a man in the Millhams Road area in Bournemouth.

"Officers attended with the ambulance service.

"The man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious.

"Enquiries are underway to inform his family.

"The coroner has been notified."
