THE zig-zag footpath in Poole has closed for more than 11 weeks while cliff-stabilisation works take place.
A public notice from BCP Council confirmed the footpath in Cliff Drive closed on March 12 and the closure will remain in place until May 30.
The notice said: “Footpath closed to all pedestrians and cyclists from Cliff Drive, opposite No. 29 leading to the promeande from Friday March 12 until Sunday May 30 for health and safety while essential cliff stabilisation works are undertaken on behalf of BCP Council.
“These arrangements may be extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations and restrictions may be in effect under this order for up to six months and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
“The council regrets any inconvenience to the public caused by this order.”
