MORE than 50 areas across Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and the rest of Dorset recorded fewer than three Covid cases each, according to the latest weekly data.
A total of 55 locations across the whole of the county were described as "suppressed" meaning they had fewer than three cases each in the seven days to March 7.
An interactive map on the government website using data from Public Health England shows the coronavirus is in retreat as the effects of the national lockdown and the vaccine rollout are felt.
During the same period, there were 31 locations that recorded three or more cases.
As reported on the Daily Echo website yesterday, the area with the highest number of cases was Underhill & The Grove with 36 cases and a rate per 100,000 people of 595.7.
A map on the government website using data from Public Health England breaks down the number of coronavirus cases into neighbourhoods called 'Middle Super Output Areas' (MSOAs), which are smaller than council wards and based on population rather than geographical area.
It colour codes MSOAs depending on their seven-day rolling rate, with areas placed into the boundaries of 0-10, 11-50, 51-100, 101-200, 201-400, 400 to 799 and 800 plus.
Anywhere that is "suppressed" appears in white on the map.
