A spokesman warned that "petrol heads" could be punished for dangerous driving and failing to stop as well as having their vehicles seized and having to pay £150 to get them back.
A spokesman said: "We will be enforcing the law robustly. Please report any issues and we will seek to prosecute. Together we can resolve these issues."
