THIEVES smashed hinges to steal an Ifor Williams trailer from Corfe Castle.
The theft took place at around 6pm yesterday and now police have appealed for information from the public.
The trailer, roughly 8ftx4ft, has a single wheel base and a cage round it.

It was carrying tools including spades and rakes and has the words Morris and Son Landscaping written in green and white writing on the side.
Purbeck police urged anyone with information to call 101 or to call 999 if they can see the trailer.
